Dr. Stavros Zanos and researchers at Northwell Health's Feinstein Institutes completed a comprehensive human vagus nerve anatomical map designed to inform development of next-generation neuromodulation therapies. The detailed mapping of vagus nerve anatomy could enable more precise and safer device targeting for autonomic nervous system modulation in heart rate, breathing, digestion, and immune function.
