Researchers complete first-of-its-kind vagus nerve anatomical map

Researchers at Northwell Health's Feinstein Institutes have completed a comprehensive anatomical map of the human vagus nerve, detailed enough to guide development of next-generation neuromodulation and bioelectronic medicine devices. The dataset provides the most detailed reconstruction of vagus nerve anatomy to date, intended to support innovation in device design and therapeutic applications targeting nerve stimulation.
