A second mistake is evaluating the device while ignoring the service ecosystem around it. You can test a ventilator's tidal volume accuracy to four decimal places, but if the nearest field service engineer is four hours away and the draft SLA contains no guaranteed response window, you have incomplete information. During the trial, submit one or two intentional low-urgency service requests and time the response. Ask for the escalation path in writing. A third mistake is excluding bedside clinical staff in favor of administrative efficiency.
