Virtual Field

Carrot (formerly Virtual Field) is an end-to-end automated visual diagnostics platform for ophthalmology and optometry practices. The portable, VR headset-based system delivers 18 clinically validated visual field and functional vision tests—including 24-2 perimetry, kinetic visual field, color vision assessment, pupilometry, and extraocular motility exams—with results benchmarked against the Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer. The platform combines automated hardware with integrated software for DICOM-compatible reporting, longitudinal progression tracking, EMR/EHR interoperability, practice analytics, and multi-language automated exam guidance. Designed to replace traditional bulky analyzers, Carrot increases testing throughput, reduces technician workload, improves patient experience, and supports CPT-compliant billing across independent practices, multi-site groups, and health systems.
