VIDAR, a subsidiary of ITT Inc., specializes in designing and manufacturing energy-efficient smart motors for industrial fluid delivery systems, including pumps and fans. Based in Syracuse, New York, VIDAR launched its flagship VIDAR motor on March 18, 2025. This compact motor features variable-speed intelligence, enhancing performance and reliability while reducing energy consumption and costs. The VIDAR smart motor incorporates patented AC-Link technology, which streamlines the variable frequency drive process, making it more compact and efficient. It meets various industry standards for severe duty and hazardous areas, and it is designed for demanding sectors such as food and beverage processing, energy production, and pharmaceuticals. The motor adjusts its speed based on workload, achieving significant power reductions and extending equipment life. VIDAR aims to address inefficiencies in the industrial motors market, targeting North America initially with plans for global expansion.
