ProMedica is a not-for-profit health care organization based in Toledo, Ohio, founded in 1986. It operates one of the most integrated health systems in the U.S., with facilities across northwest Ohio, southeast Michigan, and southern Pennsylvania. ProMedica employs approximately 18,000 to 56,000 people, including over 3,200 physicians, and serves between 2 to 4.7 million patients annually at more than 330 sites in 27 counties.
The organization includes 13-14 hospitals, several ambulatory surgery centers, nursing homes, and a health maintenance organization. Notable facilities include ProMedica Toledo Hospital, which is the largest acute-care facility in the region, and Toledo Children's Hospital.
