About Project IMG

Project IMG is a global nonprofit organization based in New York, dedicated to empowering International Medical Graduates (IMGs), medical students, and physicians. Founded by Dr. Sebastian Arruarana, the organization focuses on advancing equity in medical education, removing systemic barriers, and promoting health equity worldwide. Project IMG operates on three core pillars: medical education, humanitarian service, and legislative advocacy, fostering a community where health is viewed as a human right. The organization offers a range of resources tailored to support IMGs in their journey toward U.S. residency. These include USMLE test preparation, online courses, clinical rotations, and professional networking opportunities. Project IMG also facilitates mentorship and advocacy through programs like the M6 Launch Plan and IMG Residency Prep. Additionally, it engages in humanitarian initiatives and legislative advocacy to strengthen healthcare systems in underserved areas. The organization has established partnerships, including its first school chapter at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, enhancing access to its programs and resources.
