PIH Health is a nonprofit regional healthcare network that serves over 3 million residents in Los Angeles and Orange counties, California. The network operates three hospitals with a total of 1,130 licensed beds, along with numerous outpatient medical offices and a multispecialty physician group. PIH Health offers a wide range of services, including home healthcare, hospice care, and specialized programs in heart care, cancer treatment, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s health, urgent care, and emergency services. Founded in 1959, PIH Health has grown significantly from its origins as Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier. The network has expanded through acquisitions and the development of a vertically integrated system that includes surgery centers and specialty services. With a commitment to patient-first care and chronic disease management, PIH Health employs 7,100 full-time staff and operates 26 outpatient clinics, making it the largest employer in Whittier.
