Pelton & Crane was a dental equipment manufacturer founded in 1900 by Dr. R.M. Pelton and Mr. Earnest Crane. The company started with the creation of the Pelton Electric Furnace for baking porcelain inlays and grew to become a leading brand in the dental industry, known for its innovation and quality. Throughout its history, Pelton & Crane expanded its product offerings to include a complete line of dental operatory equipment. This included Spirit Dental Chairs, Spirit and Alliance Delivery Units, Helios Dental Lights, and cabinetry. The company was recognized for producing high-quality, durable equipment that met the needs of dental professionals. Pelton & Crane ceased operations in 2024, but it continued to support its existing customers by honoring warranties and providing service parts for several years after closure.
