Nebraska Medicine

Nebraska Medicine is the largest academic health system in Nebraska, established in 2016 as a nonprofit through the integration of The Nebraska Medical Center, Bellevue Medical Center, and UNMC Physicians. Its history dates back to 1869 with the founding of Clarkson Hospital, the state's first hospital. Nebraska Medicine serves as the primary teaching hospital for the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Clarkson College, focusing on education, research, and patient care under the motto "Serious Medicine. Extraordinary Care." The health system includes two hospitals with over 800 licensed beds and nearly 70 primary and specialty health centers, employing more than 9,000 staff.
