Nebraska Medicine is the largest academic health system in Nebraska, established in 2016 as a nonprofit through the integration of The Nebraska Medical Center, Bellevue Medical Center, and UNMC Physicians. Its history dates back to 1869 with the founding of Clarkson Hospital, the state's first hospital.
