Kaweah Health

Kaweah Health is the largest acute care hospital in Tulare County and serves as a certified Level III Trauma Center for the region. Established in 1963, it operates as a governmental hospital district and has developed into a comprehensive healthcare system with 52 locations. The Kaweah Health Medical Center features 613 patient beds and offers a wide range of services, including advanced surgical capabilities, emergency and trauma care, oncology, and various diagnostic imaging options. The hospital performs over 14,000 surgical procedures annually and treats more than 90,000 patients in its Emergency Department each year. Kaweah Health is also dedicated to physician education, hosting six ACGME-accredited residency programs in specialties such as Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and General Surgery.
