HealthPartners is the largest consumer-governed, nonprofit healthcare cooperative in the United States, established in 1957. Based in Bloomington, Minnesota, it employs over 26,000 people and serves more than 1.2 million patients through a network of over 1,800 physicians. The organization covers 1.7-1.8 million medical and dental health plan members across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
HealthPartners offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including five hospitals, 52 primary care clinics, and 22 urgent care locations. Its health plans include individual and employer-led options, as well as Medicare and Medicaid plans. The organization is committed to improving health and well-being through community partnerships and various health and well-being programs. Additionally, HealthPartners engages in research and medical education, training over 700 residents and 1,200 students annually, and supports community health initiatives through charitable foundations.
