Diatherix

Diatherix, now known as Eurofins Diatherix, is a CLIA- and CAP-accredited clinical laboratory located at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama. Founded in 2008, the lab specializes in advanced molecular diagnostic testing for infectious diseases. It was acquired by Eurofins Scientific to enhance clinical diagnostics capabilities, particularly in genetic testing. The laboratory employs around 100-129 people and generates approximately $57 million in revenue. Diatherix is known for its innovative TEM-PCR™ technology, which allows for the multiplex detection of infectious agents. It was the first CLIA-certified lab to receive FDA Emergency Use Authorization for H1N1-09 testing during the 2009 pandemic. The lab offers multiplex molecular diagnostic testing that provides accurate results within one day from a single sample, covering a range of infectious agents and antibiotic resistance genes. It serves nearly 7,000 healthcare providers across the U.S., focusing on rapid diagnostics to improve patient outcomes.
