About COPE Health Scholars

COPE Health Scholars is a division of COPE Health Solutions that provides immersive, certificate-based educational programs designed to connect education with real-world healthcare experience. The programs focus on clinical, administrative, and international training for students and career explorers. With support from UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health, COPE Health Scholars emphasizes mentorship, leadership, professional networking, and community service to prepare participants for various roles in healthcare. The core offering, the Health Scholars Program, is available for individuals aged 18 and older, allowing them to assist healthcare professionals in clinical and administrative settings. Other programs include Junior Health Scholars for high school students, Care Navigator Scholars focusing on care coordination, and Intensive Experiences that provide international hospital visits. Participants receive completion certificates, gain access to a network of alumni, and have opportunities for job placement at partner health systems, including Hoag Memorial Hospital and Kaiser Permanente. Programs accept applications year-round and offer flexible schedules to accommodate diverse needs.
