Children's Mercy Kansas City is a prominent not-for-profit pediatric health organization established in 1897. It offers comprehensive care for children from birth to age 21, operating as a freestanding academic pediatric health system. The organization has two main hospital campuses in Kansas City, Missouri, and a 52-bed pediatric hospital in Kansas, along with multiple outpatient clinics and urgent care centers across Missouri and Kansas.
The health system features specialized units, including the largest pediatric intensive care unit in the region and a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit. Children's Mercy provides a wide range of services, including emergency and critical care, surgical services, and various specialty clinics. It is also home to the Children's Research Institute, which focuses on genomics and precision therapeutics.
