CaroMont Health

CaroMont Health is a nonprofit regional healthcare system based in Gastonia, North Carolina. Established in 1946, it has been the primary healthcare provider for the community since its origins in 1908. CaroMont Health is the largest private employer in Gaston County, serving over one million patients annually with a workforce of approximately 4,400–5,000 employees. The system includes the 476-bed CaroMont Regional Medical Center, a Level III Trauma Center, and a new CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont, which opened in 2023–2024. CaroMont Health offers a wide range of services, including trauma care, cancer treatment, heart care, and mental health services. It operates over 50 primary and specialty care physician offices and has a network of clinics and emergency departments.
