BLUEWAVE Technologies manufactures a patented vacuum-infusion disinfection system designed for at-home medical-grade disinfection of orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) devices. The FDA Class II system kills 99.9999% of bacteria and viruses including MRSA without using water, detergents, or harsh chemicals. The technology is engineered to penetrate porous materials such as prosthetic liners, diabetic footwear, offloading boots, and ankle-foot orthoses. Designed for home, clinic, and hospital use, the BLUEWAVE system addresses a critical gap in wound care by preventing device-based bacterial reseeding that leads to costly infections, readmissions, and complications in patients with diabetes, limb loss, or immune deficiency. The treatment is simple: patients place their device in a reusable treatment bag and select a cycle (6, 15, or 30 minutes). The system also reduces odor and requires no chemical residue management.
