Advocate Health is a faith-based nonprofit integrated health system based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Formed in December 2022 from the merger of Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health, it is now the third-largest nonprofit health system in the U.S. by revenue. Advocate Health operates in six states—Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Wisconsin—employing nearly 162,000 teammates, including over 35,000 doctors and 42,000 nurses.
